Sunday September 7, 2008 - Children’s Classic Car & Motorcycle Run 

Sunday Sept 7th, 2008, the Society for the Protection & Care of Children will be hosting the 2nd annual Poker Run & ride through the Finger Lakes.  Proceeds go towards stopping child abuse and neglect.  Registration at the Log Cabin Restaurant located at 2445 W. Walworth Road (Route 31F) in Macedon, NY from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  A Barbeque picnic at the Log Cabin will immediately follow the run at 3:00pm.  Classic Car owners, bikers and non-riders are encouraged to join us for great music, food, fun and prizes while helping to keep children safe.

$20 registration includes T-shirt, picnic & live entertainment

September 11-14, 2008 - Catskill Mountain Thunder

- The Handel Family welcomes you to come and celebrate the 11th Anniversary of Catskill Mountain Thunder. This is a motorcycle festival like no other. It is held at a beautiful resort nestled in the Northern Catskill Mountains. In addition to lodging accommodations on site, there are also RV and tent camping with electric and water available. There are also many other establishments in the immediate area that offer lodging as well.

We feature a huge vendor expo, rodeo games such as weenie bite, slow race, potato-in-a haystack, one-legged boot race, etc., seminars on antique bike restoration, bike shows, etc.

Unlike other events, Sunday is a fun-filled day of events with thousands of dollars given out in prizes, rodeo games all day, a spectacular pig roast with a large variety of food and FREE beer.

The 4th Annual 2008 Hard Tales Expo is the area's Grand Motorcycle Event! 3 days of Bikes, Babes, Bands, Booze and Boxing! Saturday September 13, 2008 -  Ride The United Way

Hundreds of riders from all walks of life, riding all types of motorcycles, are getting together for the 2nd Annual Ride the United Way motorcycle Poker Run.  This year's ride will take you on a scenic ride of 150 kms throughout Hamilton, Flamboro and Burlington.  The cost will be $25/riders and $15/passenger with 100% of the proceeds going to the United Way.

Prizes for Ride the United Way 2008 include:

  • A Barbeque package for the best poker hand
  • A Camcorder for the participant who brings in the most $ in pledge
  • An iPod
  • A Garmin GPS
  • & Many More!

Sunday September 21, 2008 - ABATE Orleans Toy Run

- Event sponsored By ABATE of New York, Orleans County Chapter. Run to benefit Orleans Community Action. The Toy Run will assemble at 11AM in the old Ames Parking Lot, 11181 Maple Ridge Rd. (Route 31, across from Tops) Medina, New York 14103. A $10 donation or a new unwrapped toy of at least $10 value will be required to participate in this Event.

Toys will be distributed to needy children in Orleans County by the Orleans Community Action Group. This run will end at the Medina Vets Club, 216 E. Saturday September 27, 2008 - Red Knights MC NY36 Motorcycle Dice Run

- Starting at the Delevan Training Center, 1006 Route 16, Delevan, NY, this dice run will help establish a new chapter and assist local families in need. Registration is from 10:30am to 12:00pm with the ride beginning at 12 Noon. Price is $10.00 per bike and driver and $5.00 per rider. The run will return back to the Delevan Training Center for prizes, refreshments and music! There will also be a Chinese Auction, 50/50 Drawing and more after the run.
